Shop NowOur 1st print is centered around the DIYA – a small oil lamp that has deep significance in Indian culture. The diya represents light over dark and good over evil. And our colors were chosen for their vibrancy. The Bright Yellow is like Turmeric and the Red is like Chilli Powder, two spices commonly used in South Asian cooking.

Shop NowOur 2nd print is centered around the RANGOLI – a colorful pattern often drawn with chalk or rice flour at the entrance of a home. Rangolis are often embellished with candles or flowers and are thought to bring good luck and prosperity. They are also a beautiful way to welcome guests. Our floral rangoli pattern is sure to bring joy!

About Us
Dancing Desis is a woman-owned, desi-owned (Telugu!) small business that launched in 2022.
We specialize in limited-edition pajama collections that celebrate our beautiful, vibrant, and rich South Asian culture. Each collection is a chance to showcase the traditions, colors, and stories that make our culture so special, while creating something fun and meaningful to share with others.
But we believe Dancing Desis can be about more than just pajamas. Our vision is to use our collections as a vehicle for something bigger: celebrating our shared identities, bringing people together, and creating positive change in our communities.

All of our pajamas are made with 100% organic cotton and non-toxic dyes and are certified by GOTS and developed in line with the OEKO-TEK 100 standard.
For our packaging, we're taking a minimalist approach and striving to use the least amount of materials we can. We're also selecting biodegradeable, compostable, or recycled materials whenever possible. -
We spent a significant amount of time on the ground in India finding the right partners and are proud to be working with manufacturers that share our values. Our partners utilize best in class production and employment practices and are working hard to ensure our products are as sustainable and ethically-made as possible.
